Upcoming educational opportunities at UW-Madison

    • Beekeeping Short Course (Winter 2026 and 2027)
      • 3-day, in-person training in basic beekeeping, bee biology, disease management, business and financial planning, marketing and promotion for beekeepers interested in growing their operation into a business.
      • Taught by experienced beekeepers and professionals with support from UW scientists.
      • In collaboration with the Wisconsin Honey Producers Association, UW-Madison Department of Entomology, and UW Farm and Industry Short Course (FISC).
    • Training veterinarians in honey bee medicine
      • Field day for veterinary professionals (summer 2025 and 2026)
      • Honey Bee Medicine Short Course for Veterinary Students (August 2025 and 2026) – only available to currently enrolled vet students
