
Introduction to Honey Bee Medicine for Veterinary Professionals Field Day

Free parking. Lunch will be provided. Protective bee suits will be provided.
Course overview: Participants will gain hands-on experience with honey bee husbandry, knowledge of beekeeping equipment terminology, familiarity with the honey bee lifecycle and associated pests and diseases, and an ability to write a veterinary feed directive for beekeepers.
Continuing Education: This event has been approved for up to 4 CE hours by the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine, an AVMA-accredited institution. Participants will receive a certificate of completion verifying their attendance and credit hours.
This course is presented by the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Entomology in collaboration with the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Veterinary Medicine and the Wisconsin Honey Producers Association. It is supported by a grant from the Wisconsin Department of Agriculture, Trade, and Consumer Protection.
